AALA NT BRANCH

ABOUT THE NT BRANCH

The Northern Territory Branch of AALA is the youngest Branch, being formed in 2021. The Branch demonstrates the AALA commitment to growth and ensures an AALA voice of support in the NT. The establishment of a local branch in NT is the AALA commitment to providing support and advocating on behalf of our Members no matter where they are in Australia.

As a new Branch, we welcome all NT practitioners to register as a Member and get in contact with us to attend the next Committee Meeting!

The NT Branch Committee pays our respects to the Traditional Owners of the lands where we work, live and learn.  We acknowledge Elders, past, present and emerging and will continue to advocate for the respect of elders, land and community.

The Asian Australian Lawyers Association (AALA) offers our respects to the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the true and traditional owners and custodians of the lands we gather on to live, work and learn.

AALA acknowledges the past and continuing trauma caused by mistreatment and displacement. AALA celebrates and shares in the respect for elders, land and community and continues to advocate for intersectional diversity and the empowerment of all first nations peoples worldwide.
